              對電動機進行過載保護時,將熱器件及電動機定子繞組串聯,將熱繼電器常閉觸頭串聯在交流接觸器電磁線圈控制電路中,并調節整定電流調節旋鈕,使人字形撥桿及推桿相距一適當距離。當電動機正常工作時,通過熱器件電流即為電動機額定電流,熱器件發熱,雙金屬片受熱后彎曲,使推桿剛好及人字形撥桿接觸,而又不能推進人字形撥桿。常閉觸頭處于閉合狀態,交流接觸器保持吸合,電動機正常啟動。

                德國pilz繼電器皮爾茲熱敏電阻監測繼電器有多種分類。如電氣量繼電器(其輸入量可為電流、電壓、頻率、功率等),非電量繼電器(其輸入量可為溫度、壓力、速度等);保護繼電器,控制繼電器;有觸點繼電器,無觸點繼電器 ;敞開式(主體元件無防護措施)、封閉式(加保護外殼)、密封式(外殼內外無氣體交換)繼電器等等。常用的按工作原理分類的繼電器有電磁繼電器 、極化繼電器、舌簧繼電器、熱繼電器和時間繼電器等。20世紀后,繼電器有很大發展,先后出現磁性無觸點繼電器、半導體無觸點繼電器、集成電路式電子時間繼電器、固態繼電器、印刷電路板安裝式(雙列直插式)繼電器,以及帶微處理器的保護繼電器和智能化繼電器。 皮爾茲熱敏電阻監測繼電器制造廠控制繼電器靈敏度并對其進行判斷、考核的參數。對用戶來講,它只是一個工作下極限參數值。控制安全系數是工作電壓(電流)/吸合電壓(電流),如果在吸合值下使用繼電器,是不可靠的、不安全的,環境溫度升高或處于振動、沖擊條件下,將使繼電器工作不可靠。整機設計時,不能以空載電壓作為繼電器工作電壓依據,而應將線圈接入作為負載來計算實際電壓,特別是電源內阻大時更是如此。當用三極管作為開關元件控制線圈通斷時,三極管必須處于開關狀態,對6VDC以下工作電壓的繼電器來講,還應扣除三極管飽和壓降。當然,并非工作值加得愈高愈好,超過額定工作值太高會增加銜鐵的沖擊磨損,增加觸點回跳次數,縮短電氣壽命,一般,工作值為吸合值的1.5倍,工作值的誤差一般為±10%。
